I mean, after all, he revealed he favors loose-aggresive style? Don't you think? |

That book was published in 2008. Gus Hansen had a reputation for extremely loose and aggressive play long before that. In fact, in the past few years, that image has not been so accurate, as Gus Hansen has not been playing nearly as loosely as he had in the past. What the book may make clear, to Gus Hansen's loss, is that he is an intelligent, mathematically-oriented player. He doesn't play Q3o in a situation just because he feels lucky, but because he is exploiting some of his opponents' tendencies. Some people incorrectly believe that poker is about making the best hand, and chalk up his loose play as crazy. This book makes it harder for thinking players to misread him that way. |
