I've been thinking of doing a road trip this summer, but so far I don't really have any particular direction or destination in mind. I have played poker at a hand-full of casinos and end up going to Vegas once a year or so, but I would be interested in hearing where people go around the country to play poker. International suggestions are welcomed, but no home-games please. For simplicity please enter only one casino per response with the name and city/state of the Casino in bold on the first line and a link for more information. That way people can vote up or down individual casinos and add comments about the poker there (rake, drinks, different games offered, tournaments, etc). I'll start off with a few, and hopefully we can get a good list going. |

Borgata in Atlantic City +1 Nicest casino I've been to. Huge poker room and everything's first class. Lots of terrific restaurants in the casino. I would say the play was tougher than the average live 1/2 game I've played though.

Flamingo Las Vegas Hotel & Casino - Las Vegas, NV Seems like we always end up playing here when in Vegas. |

Montego Bay Casino & Resort - Wendover, NV Living in Utah, Wendover is one of the places that keeps you sane! There are 3 or 4 casinos there, but Montego Bay is our favorite. Their parking lot is actually in Utah, but the casino has great live-poker and a few good tournaments too. |

Carnival Cruise Ship - International Waters I went on a cruise this winter with some friends, and they had a small casino including a Texas Holdem video poker table game on the ship. There was no dealer, just a table with 10 video monitors built into it and a fun-pass card slot to deposit/withdraw money. I never won while playing, but one of my friends won big late at night when everyone started drinking. Interesting way to spend some free time while on the ship. |
