Can i just tip the dealer after I win a big pot or is it expected that I tip after everhand I win? |

You are not "expected" to tip if you say raise preflop and take down the blinds or if in a split pot game you get half or quartered. Most dealers are happy when you win say a decent 8+BB pot with a buck. I never tip more than $2. Over-tipping will severely limit your win rate. |

if you, or others start to tip less, in order for the house to retain dealers, they will have to pay them more. The house is not going to just generously do that...they will increase the rake or "time" that is paid by the players. players pay for it either way. NOW you have a choice..tip the GOOD dealers, that keeps them motivated to stay good and fast, and the dealers that just don't seem to care..tip them less and increase as they improve. |

Expected tipping is the most retarded idea in the world. Unfortunately many dealers get paid tips only, or tips plus a min-wage and basically work on the expectation that they gets tips. So just do what ever everyone else is doing in the card room. Don't be a sheep. Tip because you should.
